Burning lances are steel pipes packed with steel rods, which are used for burning and cutting of metal as well as non-metal materials.
For cutting purpose the lance pipe burns down slowly under oxygen supply. Thereby a chemical reaction occurs with great heat generation (temperature peak value of more than 2.500 °C can be reached). This heat can be utilized to cut different materials such as iron, alloyed steel scrap, slag, refractory, concrete and natural stones.
